Wow what an incredibly sad day in the entertainment world. The news of MJ is just now streaming out so if you twitter or have live feeds they are just now
confirming it. He apparently died of cardiac arrest.

If not else, I have to say I still love almost all of MJ's music and play it often. And I will never forget the first time I saw the famous swimsuit
poster of FF. I had to knudge my then fiance, now my hubby to get him to look away...lolol...yes, very very sad day.

All I can think is how sad for him - what a sad life he had. It's also unfortunate that the media tended to focus on those not appreciating him. The
poor thing just couldn't resuscitate his career after the molestation claims. His weirdness isolated him even further. Poor guy.

Although perhaps people want to pretend he didn't die with women's clothes on, a wig, his genitals tied up, and hanging by the neck in a closet. At
least the others had the dignity not to be undignified in their final moments!

I don't wish death on anyone and I'm usually really tolerant of folks marching to their own drummer, but I draw the line at MJ and his very strange
behavior or sleeping with little boys in same bed, sorry I never bought his innocent act. But then I think MJ was always one big act, the real tragedy is he
didn't seem to be a real person, just a parody of a person.
No offense but the 24/7 MJ news really bothers me, we're in middle of economic crisis, we desperately need to stay focused on health care, Iran is imploding, North Korea WTF knows... it's like the US has so many greater things to worry about than OMG did Michael pop too many pills. It's Anna Nichol Smith all over again. Let them rest and get some PEACE finally. |

MJ was a freakin freak. I knew this was going to be a Heath Ledger thang all over again. Same with Carradine, altho I liked him LOL. He engaged in behavior
that could jack you up if anything went wrong......

The 'Off the Wall' record and the Thriller, Billy Jean and Beat It era. I was in HS and College during the early and mid 80's and those songs have
so many memories attached to them. I agree about the 24/7 coverage. It is already old. I feel so bad that Farrah Fawcett's death is being completely
overshadowed by the MJ coverage. It's too bad she died on the same day.

This whole fascination with the autopsy I find freakish. Ok, do one and determine if it was murder or not, fair enough but to wait on bated breath like media
is on every little rumor what was in his stomach debate on CNN was disgusting.
I find MJ death more than Anna Nichole, a freakish sideshow in death just like they were in life. And I swear wherever MJ with his Elvis obsession likely smiling wherever he is about the media circus of his death and the endless eulogizing of he was the greatest ever... |

I could never listen to Beat It again after listening to his parody of it.
But I loved his BILLY JEAN and the music video I enjoyed more than Thriller. Heck, I'm old enough to remember the Jackson Five, and never forget BEN - it was like my fave song that year. That kid could sing, no doubt about that. |
